FAQ
Everything owners ask before they buy.
Straight answers on fit, hull types, installation, maintenance and cost. Anything we've missed, ask us directly — we're the people who build them.
How does an Aqua Boat Lift work?
An Aqua Boat Lift is a floating dry dock built around modular buoyancy tanks. To dock, the tanks flood and the platform sinks below your hull; you drive on, the tanks pump out, and the platform rises to lift your boat completely clear of the water. Launching reverses the process — and takes just minutes.
Will it fit my marina berth or private jetty?
In most cases, yes. The lift floats within a standard berth footprint and is configured to your boat and berth dimensions. Marina berths, canal-front pontoons and private jetties are all common installations.
Send us your berth details and boat specs and we'll confirm fit as part of your quote. If your marina has rules about installed equipment, we can help with that conversation too.
What boats and hull types does it suit?
The modular tank system is configured to your hull: 4, 6 or 8-tank layouts cover everything from ski boats to large family cruisers, with dedicated configurations for pontoon boats and twin-hull vessels such as Shark Cats. If it floats, there's a good chance we can lift it — ask us.
Do I still need to anti-foul my boat?
No. With the hull stored completely out of the water there's nothing for marine growth to attach to and no immersion driving electrolysis, so annual anti-fouling is no longer required. A clean, uncoated hull is also faster through the water and uses less fuel.
How quickly can I launch?
Minutes. That's why Aqua Boat Lifts are used by emergency services, where launch time matters. For recreational owners it means a spur-of-the-moment run is genuinely spur-of-the-moment.
Do you deliver and install Australia-wide?
Yes. We supply Australia-wide and offer either supply-only or full supply-and-install. Everything is Australian owned, engineered and made.
How stable is the lift once the boat is docked?
Extremely stable — it's one of the things owners notice first. The tank layout spreads buoyancy across the full footprint of the hull, so you can walk around your docked boat to wash, polish and work on it in comfort.
What maintenance does the lift itself need?
Very little compared with a moored hull. The system has few moving parts and is engineered for the marine environment. We'll walk you through the simple care routine for your configuration when we quote.
How much does a boat lift cost?
Every lift is quoted for your boat and berth, because configuration, boat size and installation requirements vary. As a guide, most owners find the lift pays for itself over time through eliminated anti-fouling, slipping and diver-clean costs, lower fuel burn and stronger resale value.

Who uses Aqua Boat Lifts?
Marina berth holders, waterfront and canal homeowners, and professional operators — including emergency services such as NSW Fisheries and Port Lincoln SES, who rely on the quick launch and low maintenance.
